Last year, the Apple iPad 2 was released during the spring of 2011, and this year we hope to see the same results with the Apple iPad 3. Because springtime is nearby, a plethora of rumors have been surfacing about the iPad 3 and its features.
Design:
Apple is notorious for its sleek and elegant designs which have proven to attract a wide range of customers, we can only hope that Apple will revolutionize the new iPad 3 design. However, Apple’s new iPhone 4S was practically the exact same as the iPhone 4, thus only time can tell what is in store for the iPad 3. It is rumored that it will have a bulkier design to support a larger battery and retina display.
Display:
A core feature of any smartphone/tablet is its display quality. Apple is known to have crystal clear retina displays for the newest iPhone 4′s and the iPad’s however has been behind as compared to the latest Android tablets which have breached 1080p. It would seem that Apple is increasing the pixel quality in its new successor of iPad’s in order to compete with Android and to provide a new feature to market on its iPad 3.
Processor:
Apple’s iPad 2 processor is a 1GHz dual core A5 chip, comparable to the A5 chip in the iPhone 4S. However, in order to increase a gaming/video experience based on the new display, a higher processor is in order. It is rumored that the new processor will definitely be an A6 chip, however, whether or not this chip will be dual core or quad core is yet to be decided.
Camera:
Apple’s camera quality built on the iPhone 4/4S and iPad 2 have been capable of taking HD pictures and video. It’s even been used in motion pictures such as Transformers 3 where one scene was shot using only an iPhone 4 camera! However, for the iPad 3 it looks like that there will be dual HD cameras in order to facetime in HD.
Other than the above new changes, it would seem that Siri will also be available for the iPad. However, if you know how to jailbreak the iPhone already you can also get Siri on many other devices. More than likely, it would seem the new release for the Apple iPad 3 would be in sometime March 2012.
